A first step in the development of an energy production model, suitable for the average farm of central Tuscany, has been done by analyzing the energy needs and the biomass availability of a large farm with 200 ha of vineyards, 130 ha of olive and 200 ha of wood, and a tourist activity accommodating about 50 persons with swimming pool and restaurant, whose requirements of thermal energy were estimated in 953000 kWht/year. The analysis showed that the requirements would be fully covered by the farm production of olive-vine pruning residuals and forest wood. The rationalization of the system through a small network (district heating) has also been considered.

Abstract
A first step in the development of an energy production model, suitable for the average farm of central Tuscany, has been done by analyzing the energy needs and the biomass availability of a large farm with 200 ha of vineyards, 130 ha of olive and 200 ha of wood, and a tourist activity accommodating about 50 persons with swimming pool and restaurant, whose requirements of thermal energy were estimated in 953000 kWht/year. The analysis showed that the requirements would be fully covered by the farm production of olive-vine pruning residuals and forest wood. The rationalization of the system through a small network (district heating) has also been considered.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
