Solid dispersions of ibuprofen in polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20000 were studied by differential thermal and X-ray diffraction analyses. The system was an eutectic mixture with eutectic composition of 40 % ibuprofen and 60% of PEG 20000. The effect of PEG 20000 concentration on the ibuprofen solubility in water was determined. The influence of the drug-PEG ratio on the drug dissolution rate was also determined.

Abstract
Solid dispersions of ibuprofen in polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20000 were studied by differential thermal and X-ray diffraction analyses. The system was an eutectic mixture with eutectic composition of 40 % ibuprofen and 60% of PEG 20000. The effect of PEG 20000 concentration on the ibuprofen solubility in water was determined. The influence of the drug-PEG ratio on the drug dissolution rate was also determined.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
