We analyze the time-optimal properties of a bang-bang extremal trajectory of the Van der Pol controlled equation. Our goal is to verify if some general abstract second order conditions obtained by the authors could be verified numerically or formally by the computer algebra system Maple. In this example we are able te obtain a complete description of the structure of the state-local time-optimal state trajectories.
