The aim of the present work was to analyse the effects of introgression of Agrobacterium rhizogenes oncogenes in the system Nicotiana glauca, Nicotiana langsdorffii, their tomorous amphidiploid hybrid and non-tumorous mutant. Leaf disks of the different Nicotiana genotypes were infected with wild type A. rhizogenes and with plasmids carrying the single oncogenes, analysed for their behaviour in vitro and transgenic plants were regenerated.
