The computational modelling of elastoplastic materials in finite deformations is reported. Differently from most of the works present in the literature, neither the hypothesis of isotropy nor of isochoric plastic deformations is introduced. In the paper first the standard model for isotropic elasto-plastic materials is analyzed. then a computational model for anisotropic materials is proposed. A full set of constitutive relations following from thermodinamic principles is derived for anisotropic elastoplastic materials and the computational procedure for integrating the material model is described.

Abstract

The computational modelling of elastoplastic materials in finite deformations is reported. Differently from most of the works present in the literature, neither the hypothesis of isotropy nor of isochoric plastic deformations is introduced. In the paper first the standard model for isotropic elasto-plastic materials is analyzed. then a computational model for anisotropic materials is proposed. A full set of constitutive relations following from thermodinamic principles is derived for anisotropic elastoplastic materials and the computational procedure for integrating the material model is described.
