ABSTRACT Pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare progressive cystic lung disorder characterized by peribronchial, perivascular, and perilymphatic proliferation of abnormal smooth muscle cells with loss of parenchyma. The disease may also involve extrapulmonary sites, particularly the lymphatic system. LAM is usually a progressive, difficult to treat disease with a highly variable survival rate. Lung transplant is the best therapeutic option in case of severe deterioration of pulmonary function. To our knowledge, this is the first case of chronic hepatitis C antiviral treatment in a patient with LAM.
