Sono riportati i principali risultati ottenuti, sia specificatamente sperimentali (quali curve di Wöhler e misurazioni della forza di attrito) che relativi all'interpretazione e alla previsione dei dati. Fretting-fatigue has been found to affect life in several engineering applications. It has recently experimentally investigated in the Mechanical and Industrial Technology Department. Two devices have been used for introducing fretting conditions on a fatigue test-bar. Fretting-fatigue strength has been determined for two steels and relations have been deduced among the fundamental parameters involved.
