This paper is devoted to the mechanical characterization of the elastic behavior of thin sheets of a commercial Poly Vinyl Butyral (PVB) at room temperature. Foils of PVB are often used as interlayer in the laminated glass. Their elastic properties were investigated by displacement controlled tensile tests performed both on slender and on stocky samples. The elastic behavior was schematized by some hyperelastic models whose constitutive parameters was identified fitting the experimental results.
