In this work two solutions (coaxial cable and optical fiber) of receiver chains for the new SKA radiotelescope are evaluated by their reliability performance in their operating environment. In the case of the most reliable solution (optical fiber), other reliability test have been performed and their results are here reported. © 2006 IEEE.
