In this paper, the problem of Doppler frequency estimate of a polarimetric radar echo embedded in Gaussian additive noise, in the presence of an equal strength interfering echo, with pre-set Doppler shift and polarisation state, is considered. Some sub-optimum parameter estimate procedures of such polarietric radar echoes are presented, and some resuIts which refer to computer simulation performances are discussed too. Due to the great number of parameters which are concerned, only few but significative situations are considered, and the related performances are computer analysed, with reference to both the two tones discrimination capability, and bias and standard deviation values of Doppler estimates.
