The transport of nutrients from cropping systems into streams and water bodies is a result of rain amount and intensity, soil nutrients management and erosion processes. The detachment of soil particles from the impact of raindrops is the first stage in the erosion process and contributes to nutrient load and eutrophication of environment. The aim of this study is to evaluate and quantify nitrogen and phosphorus content of outflow waters and solid transport from experimental fields during several rainfall events, measured during two years (2006-2007), and to identify factors influencing these losses.
