We investigate the drainage of aqueous foams (water + SDS) by ESR using two different nitroxide labels: a water soluble probe and a labelled surfactant. We show that the rotational motion of the probes slows down as the films of the foam become thinner and that confinement takes place. We also experiment with and discuss the influence of the incorporation of a hydrosoluble polymer (PEO).

Abstract
We investigate the drainage of aqueous foams (water + SDS) by ESR using two different nitroxide labels: a water soluble probe and a labelled surfactant. We show that the rotational motion of the probes slows down as the films of the foam become thinner and that confinement takes place. We also experiment with and discuss the influence of the incorporation of a hydrosoluble polymer (PEO).File in questo prodotto:
