The chemical and isotopic compositions of gas discharges in volcanic areas, especially when coupled with geophysical records of seismic activity and ground deformation, may provide important information about the chemical-physical processes controlling the behaviour of magmatic/hydrothermal reservoirs, thus playing a key role for monitoring purposes. In this framework, the approach adopted to analyze the compositional variations of a dataset constituting a temporal series is a fundamental step for a correct interpretation of the related phenomena.

Abstract
The chemical and isotopic compositions of gas discharges in volcanic areas, especially when coupled with geophysical records of seismic activity and ground deformation, may provide important information about the chemical-physical processes controlling the behaviour of magmatic/hydrothermal reservoirs, thus playing a key role for monitoring purposes. In this framework, the approach adopted to analyze the compositional variations of a dataset constituting a temporal series is a fundamental step for a correct interpretation of the related phenomena.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
