Condom Influence Strategy Questionnaire (CISQ): Un primo contributo alla validazione della versione italiana

Summary The Condom Influence Strategy Questionnaire (CISQ) aims to assess condom negotiation strategies between partners. The aim of the study was to verify the psychometric properties of an Italian version of the CISQ. The questionnaire was administered to two groups of young adults (N=226; N=93). In line with the original version, the Italian one was found to be composed of 6 subscales. Factorial loadings confirmed the original structure, except for 2 items. Reliability of the 6 subscales was good. Significant correlations emerged between the subscales, perceived behavioural control, intentions to use condoms and effective behaviour. Significant differences were found with respect to both gender and condom use. These results suggest that the CISQ can be used even in the Italian context.
