The book explores research issues on the wider debate and it is aimed to contribute to more sensitive architecture and urban design. The book sets up heritage value and sensitive intervention within the Transforming City. It is aimed to share information and to reach common dialogue for preservation, evaluation, regeneration and re-use of built heritage and in a comparative way throughout European context. The book debates and puts questions on how sensitive design can play an important role in designing specific historic environments. Moreover, it argues in a comparative debate on sensitive design principles and makes a critical thinking on cooperative learning and education. A general aspiration for the city in transformation is the enhancement of built environment within sensitive criteria of intervention. Urban regeneration must be considered and integrated as a part of the existing while intelligent placement of new development can aim to create favorable and more active urban life. New development must reach an acceptable character and appearance that respond to flexibility and inevitable sustainable future change. In historic environment the value judgments involve major assessments of architectural worth or value.

Abstract
In historic environment the value judgments involve major assessments of architectural worth or value.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
