In this paper, a Bayesian survival model is adapted to study the association between fertility and women education in Italy. The effect of women educational level is studied in the presence of a time-varying unobserved component. This kind of frailty can be interpreted as womens family-orientation, which is sensible to vary over life-course.

Abstract

In this paper, a Bayesian survival model is adapted to study the association between fertility and women education in Italy. The effect of women educational level is studied in the presence of a time-varying unobserved component. This kind of frailty can be interpreted as womens family-orientation, which is sensible to vary over life-course.
