La conoscenza di iscrizioni osche nel carteggio tra Gori, Remondini e Passeri

The article presents the history of the interpretation of the first Oscan documents and and their impact on Italian antiquary, starting from some unpublished manuscripts letters, particularly the author presents here, for the first time, Passeri’s and Remondini’s autograph transcriptions of these inscriptions. The publication of these materials is an important element in the history of the studies of Italic antiquities and of the languages of ancient Italy: the study of these manuscripts allows to investigate more accurately the state of the art for that period and the scientific thought of these scholars.
