The aim of our work was to find out whether DNA amplification could be involved in plant active defense from pathogens. The results obtained showed that active defense involves a generalized amplification of repeated sequences in tomato in vitro cultures challenged with the fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum in dual culture.
