The response of tumour cords to a cell killing agent is described, representing the cord as a continuum with cyHndrical symmetry and accounting for cell motion in a purely kinematic framework. The model takes into account oxygen diffusion, the dependence of cell proliferation and death rates on oxygen concentration, and the dissolution of dead cells. Examples of model simulation are presented.
