Different synthetic approaches exist to introduce metal complexes as a linker between polymer chains. Among them, polymerization reactions using a suitable metal complex as initiator or the usage of terminally ligand modified polymers followed by metal coordination are the most important synthetic protocols. Herein, we report on the synthesis and characterization of Pd(II)-macrocomplexes bearing pyridine chain-end functionalized poly(lactide) (PLA). PLA is a sustainable polymer and therefore it is gaining enormous interest.

Abstract
Different synthetic approaches exist to introduce metal complexes as a linker between polymer chains. Among them, polymerization reactions using a suitable metal complex as initiator or the usage of terminally ligand modified polymers followed by metal coordination are the most important synthetic protocols. Herein, we report on the synthesis and characterization of Pd(II)-macrocomplexes bearing pyridine chain-end functionalized poly(lactide) (PLA). PLA is a sustainable polymer and therefore it is gaining enormous interest.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
