Most of the RLSA designs proposed in the last years are based on a simplified model analysis. Recently, a few ad hoc full wave formulations were proposed for the fast and accurate analysis of such kind of antennas, also including a simple but effective description of the metal plate thickness. These formulations allow a full-wave optimization of the entire antenna. Due to the complexity of the structure, the high number of degree of freedom and the reduced but not infinitesimal computation time required to analyze the entire structure, a classical Genetic Algorithm (GA) or a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) cannot be directly used. Thus, here, an optimization procedure specific for the design of RLSA antennas is introduced.

Abstract
Thus, here, an optimization procedure specific for the design of RLSA antennas is introduced.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
