This paper presents a sensorless control for a trapezoidal BLDCM ( brushless DC motor ) using neural network (ANN) to determine the phase voltage switching points. This solution uses an ANN, implemented through a microcontroller, as an alternative to the bulky, temperature sensitive, hall-effect sensors traditionally used.
