Abstract

In this paper the polarization behaviour of targets and clutter are examined to evaluate the performance of suitable processing techniques to be employed in radars using double polarization at receipt. To this end, a dual-polarization radar measurement set has been designed and implemented. Some experimental results demonstrate that dual-polarization processing techniques can be effective in adaptive clutter cancellation and Doppler resolution.
