Vincere e convincere. Processi e politica a Firenze dal 1922 al 1924.

The trials for political crimes (or labelled as such) between 1922 and 1924 represent a revealing prism of the reactions of the legal field at the beginning of the Fascist Regime, this is the main reason why this happened in Florence and the surrounding areas, where the crimes during the two years period committed by both the Communists and Fascists were committed in a climate of dreaded civil war. The trials, their newspaper coverage and their legal sentences recount of a Province (and a Country) which had already surrundered due to exhaustion and to disenchatment, surrendered into the hands of the Fascists the day after the March on Rome. The newly founded regime immediately proved to follow public opinion by drawing up two amnisties which excluded those who had committed and who commit crimes of a penal nature less significant but politically much more dangerous.
