The behaviour of “convex energy” structural systems under stochastic loading is herein in-vestigated. The loading is assumed to be a second-order stochastic process applied on a structure with unilateral contact boundary conditions. The problem is formulated as a stochastic variational problem where the stochastic parameter of the loading has been taken into account by using a second-order perturbation method.
