Diagnostic Analysis approach is applied to the Madzi Irrigation Scheme, in response to farmers not using the scheme. The work is carried out with a preliminary objective aimed at revealing the problems, causes and effects. Using a Rapid Rural Appraisal methodology (RRA), with the participation of farmers, local leaders and extension officers, information has been collected directly on the field, through interviews and a table summarizing problems as perceived by the actors. Problems have been then pointed out and classified, according to cause-effect relations and structured into a problem tree. Solutions to the problems are proposed to enable the beneficiaries the use of the existing irrigation scheme.

Abstract
Diagnostic Analysis approach is applied to the Madzi Irrigation Scheme, in response to farmers not using the scheme. The work is carried out with a preliminary objective aimed at revealing the problems, causes and effects. Using a Rapid Rural Appraisal methodology (RRA), with the participation of farmers, local leaders and extension officers, information has been collected directly on the field, through interviews and a table summarizing problems as perceived by the actors. Problems have been then pointed out and classified, according to cause-effect relations and structured into a problem tree. Solutions to the problems are proposed to enable the beneficiaries the use of the existing irrigation scheme.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
