I Kyathoi etruschi di Santa Teresa di Gavorrano e il ceramista dei Paithina

During the excavation of the Etruscan site of Santa Teresa near Gavorrano two bucchero kyathoi were found, dating towards the middle of the seventh century B.C., or less later. One of the kyathoi carries an inscription with the gentilitial name Paithina, testified on three more kyathoi of same type, found in Caere, Murlo and Vetulonia; so, it is possible to conclude that Caeretan ceramist had made such kyathoi on behalf of Paithina's family. Considering the provenance of the vases and the distinctive feature of this new inscription, it is possible to express mew perspectives about the activity of the ceramist and the localizations of the aristocratic family Paithina.
