A new efficient method for the transesterification of triglycerides and production of fatty acid alkyl esters in acidic conditions has been disclosed. Due to the simplicity and efficiency of the method it can be extended to animal fats and exhausted vegetable oils without the need for pretreatment.

Abstract

A new efficient method for the transesterification of triglycerides and production of fatty acid alkyl esters in acidic conditions has been disclosed. Due to the simplicity and efficiency of the method it can be extended to animal fats and exhausted vegetable oils without the need for pretreatment.
