In this paper, a screen-printed, mercury-free, Nafion modified carbon sensor incorporated with a dipyridine-containing macrocyclic polyamine [5,8,11-trimethyl-2,5,8,11,14-pentaaza [15]-[15] (2,2')[1,15]-bipyridylophane (BipyMe3N5)] for voltammetric stripping detection of Pb(II) has been explored. The measurement procedure, consisting of an accumulation step at open circuit condition followed by a medium exchange square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV), was optimized. Calibration plot of Pb(II) was linear in a concentration range 0-200 microg/L, with a resulting limit of detection of 2 microg/L and a relative standard deviation of 14%, for 120 s accumulation time.
