A new approach to the application of symbolic analysis techniques for the automated fault diagnosis of nonlinear analogic circuits is presented. To this end a program package has been realized, which is able to produce symbolic simulators devoted to any part of the circuit under test, suitably partitioned. In this way it is possible to obtain a library of simulators which can constitute the deep knowledge of an expert system for the fault diagnosis of electronic circuits. A simple example will illustrate the features and potentialities of the proposed approach. © 1992 IEEE.

Abstract
A new approach to the application of symbolic analysis techniques for the automated fault diagnosis of nonlinear analogic circuits is presented. To this end a program package has been realized, which is able to produce symbolic simulators devoted to any part of the circuit under test, suitably partitioned. In this way it is possible to obtain a library of simulators which can constitute the deep knowledge of an expert system for the fault diagnosis of electronic circuits. A simple example will illustrate the features and potentialities of the proposed approach. © 1992 IEEE.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
