A standardized test method has been developed for validating the mechanical resistance at resonant conditions of a polyamide air intake manifold with reinforced fiberglass belonging to an automobile internal combustion engine. The validation test was designed to account for the effects of temperature and humidity and the possibility of encountering resonant frequencies. Experimental testing performed on three actual manifolds validated the methodology.

Abstract
A standardized test method has been developed for validating the mechanical resistance at resonant conditions of a polyamide air intake manifold with reinforced fiberglass belonging to an automobile internal combustion engine. The validation test was designed to account for the effects of temperature and humidity and the possibility of encountering resonant frequencies. Experimental testing performed on three actual manifolds validated the methodology.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
