Abstract
Criticality and documentation of a rupestrian site. The monastery of Allach: the vestibule The work on the monastery of Allaçh ie focused on the different operative modalities and methodological aspects of data collecting; a correct planning fulfils the different modalities of representation. When the critical analysis of the results is applied to a fast methodology with basic tools, it verifies the criticality of a “light” survey in documenting the rupestrian heritage. The study on Allaçh has underlined the problems of photographic shots and of the quality of the metrical reading of homologous points; in critical places, a 3d metrical defined survey is needed. The metrical plan surveys of the courtyard and of the rooms have been carried out. Photographical surveys were aimed to the digital restitution of 3d models and panoramic 360° views. An accurate text description of the fronts on the courtyard has underlined the need of a more finicky photographical survey, to reed slightly perceptible traces. The rigorous text has outlined the architectural characteristics of elements and decorations that could not be read during the short time of the survey. The monastery of Allaçh is N-NE of Ortahisar. The complex has an open air court, with partially oxidized pink and cream walls, which is carved in a spur delimited by a ring of brown cones. At the ground floor, seven rooms have their accesses on the south front; others are on the second floor. At north, a basilica-shaped structure give access to two square rooms; the rooms are rhythmically shaped and richly decorated, though the right one is less rich and more degraded. A croo-in-square church is at East; the height and the articulation of the vaulted space make it majestic. Its funerary narthex is characterized by a Serlian window ante litteram, and by a space that is qualified by the internal partition, with niches and pillars marked in perspective dimensions. At West, a big cross-in-square hall as a Renaissance planning taste.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
