Personal experience in kidney transplantation is reported. An initial review of 20 cases from cadaver donors is made. Urological complications are evaluated. The most important complications were urine leakages, stenosis of renal artery and ureteral necrosis. Techniques employed in the treatment of complications are described. The role of the urologist and knowledge of physiopathology and treatment of complications, are emphasized.
