Mineralogical, petrograhic and chemical nalyses were performed on ceramic artifacts from the Village of Coppa Nevigata (Foggia -Italy) , a site inhabitedfrom the Neolithic to the beginning of the Iron Age. The artifacts are mostly hand made and fulfil a considerable numeber of functional and formal needs. The aim of the present research is to investigate the materials used in the production of the ceramics, their processing and the source area of the raw materials.
