A process is described where bottom ash is used for upgrading of biogas / landfill gas and sequestration of CO2 (BABIU process). Results from laboratory-scale testing of the BABIU process from 2007, 2008 and 2011 are summarized. In addition, the first results from the pilot-scale testing facility in Podere Rota (IT) are reported.
