The abstract is related to results on a research activity conducted by University of Florence on the opportunity of an appropriate natural ventilation in residential buildings to avoid overheating in summer period. The research is conducted using the simulation tool ESP-r, including internal gains, measuring PPD of occupants, measuring the ventilation rate due to the natural ventilation, working on appropriate solar shading devises.
