The urban environment information is nowday supported by earth observation data. Raw ata need to be interpreted to be used as planning input. The creation of tematic maps is the tool to properly set data for user needs. Architects and engineering may share the some land tematic map to study their disciplinary aspects of the project. This product has been realised with a grant of the EC - JRC- ISES, being a outstanding example of satellite data utilisation for civil applications, inparticular to manage the historical European cities environmental analysis.
