The paper in occasion of the 1st ASITA Cinference, presents the project, LEONETWORK funded by the Leonardo CE Program. It has also fostered the HISTOCITY Network project funded by TMR CE Program. Both projects were aimed to support the training of skills for the application of GIS technologies in Engineering and Architecture. The prof. M.A.Esposito was the scientist in charge of the Histocity project and G.Saio the leader of the LEONETWORK project. Both have been involved in the two projects to create european experience exchange opportunities for young researchers and professionals.
