Environmental and cost impacts of the new two buildings for the Institute for the environment and sustainability IES and the Institute for Health and Consumer IHCP in Ispra

The purpose of the study here reported is to quantify the potential environment impact caused by the new IES and IHCP offices and laboratory buildings of the JRC of ISPRA and to quantify the cost engaged during their life cycle. The general aim is to contribute to the Environmental Responsibility of the JRC in Ispra and to increase knowledge on sustainability of present-day office design. At the same time, the specific objective of this study is to collaborate in the project management of the two buildings by making an environmental assessment at the design stage, in view of developing appropriate environmental strategies for the construction and use stages of these buildings.
