This paper presents an efficient algorithm for the analysis and computer aided design of arbitrarily corrugated pyramidal horns fed by complex broadband sources. This algorithm is based on the combination of the FDTD method with the generalized admittance matrix (GAM) method. The FDTD technique is used to model the complex source region of the antenna on a large bandwidth, while the GAM method allows a very efficient analysis of the rest of the horn, including the radiating part. An example of a printed Yagi antenna feeding an E-plane sectoral horn is also presented

Abstract
This paper presents an efficient algorithm for the analysis and computer aided design of arbitrarily corrugated pyramidal horns fed by complex broadband sources. This algorithm is based on the combination of the FDTD method with the generalized admittance matrix (GAM) method. The FDTD technique is used to model the complex source region of the antenna on a large bandwidth, while the GAM method allows a very efficient analysis of the rest of the horn, including the radiating part. An example of a printed Yagi antenna feeding an E-plane sectoral horn is also presentedI documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
