The information obtained from morphological descriptors (leaf traits) and molecular markers data are compared in poplar. The results show that the morphological traits have a discriminant power comparable to the molecular ones if an optimal environmental design is applied. The correlation between the different distance matrices depends from the developmental stage of the leaves.

Abstract
The information obtained from morphological descriptors (leaf traits) and molecular markers data are compared in poplar. The results show that the morphological traits have a discriminant power comparable to the molecular ones if an optimal environmental design is applied. The correlation between the different distance matrices depends from the developmental stage of the leaves.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
