Il rischio finanziario dei Comuni italiani: un'indagine empirica

The crisis of public administrations has led to a reduction in resources available to local authorities. It is therefore crucial to assess the level of financial risk of the local authorities for the correct allocation of public resources and respect for the constraints of the Stability Pact. The aim of the research is to develop a model to analyze the financial risk of the local administration applying to a representative sample of local authorities. The results show how the level of financial risk is increased in the period 2007-2010 and, from a geographical view, as it is higher in the regions of Southern Italy.
