Deutsch "also" und italienisch "allora". Eine korpusbasierte Beschreibung ihrer Semantik

L'articolo analizza l'uso di "also" e "allora" dal punto di vista semantico. Per entrambi i connettivi vengono prese in esame interpretazioni temporali, epistemiche, deontiche e illocutive. Si distingue tra il loro uso come avverbi e come particelle conversazionali. Per illustrare meglio similitudini e differenze tra "also" e "allora" vengono presi in esame anche altri connettivi semanticamente affini. L'analisi si basa su un corpus di sedici romanzi di letteratura di consumo. This paper examines the use of German also and Italian allora from a semantic point of view. The analysis focuses on the temporal, epistemic, deontic and illocutionary readings of these connectives. A distinction is drawn between their uses as adverbs and as discourse particles. Part of the analysis is dedicated to the distribution of tenses in different variants of sentence connections with these connectives. In order to give a more realistic account of the equivalences between adverbs in German and Italian, several other connectives with similar meanings are included in the analysis. The article is based on a text corpus of sixteen light novels (eight in German and eight in Italian).
