Research Report 2 - BIM-FM Manchester Town Hall Complex

The research approach used in this research was case study research. The case investigated was the major redevelopment of the Town Hall Complex (THC) and Library in Manchester, UK. For over 6 months the research team collected primary data from the design team, the contractor and the FM team. Data was collected through a series of interviews with project participants and documental analysis. In relation to the assessment of the BIM maturity level, the Capability and Maturity Matrix (CMM) of the NCBIMs was used. In this respect, participants were asked to assess the level of maturity as well as to provide hard evidence to support their views.
