We have studied the statistical regimes of a random laser performing experiment and theoretical simulation. Both the theoretical simulations and experimental results agree showing the presence of three regions of fluctuations regime increasing the pumping energy in a weakly diffusive medium. An initial Gaussian regime is followed by a Lévy statistics and Gaussian statistic is recovered again for high pump pulse energy. This behavior is always present in condition of weakly diffusive medium, while the region of Levy statistics can disappear when the medium is strongly diffusive, presenting always a Gaussian regime with smooth emission spectrum.
