Moving from the analysis of «kitsch», one of the most widespread trends in contemporary art, this essay goes back to the eighteenth- and nineteenth-century roots of aesthetics and focuses particularly the relationship between art and the concept of «live, living» in Nietzsche’s, Hölderlin’s, Kant’s philosophical reflections.
