The essay is a critical biography of the Turkish poet Haydar Ergülen, who came to prominence in the 1980s and his poetry, which is thought to have opened the movement İkinci yeni (Second New). In the 1950s this new poetics revolutionized Turkish poetry as it had been established during the first decades of the Republican period. The analysis of four poems by Ergülen translated into Italian for the first time aims to present the poet and his work to an Italian audience.
