Abstract
Silyl sulfides and selenides exhibit a very specific reactivity, due to the unique and complementary properties of sulfur, selenium and silicon, and have thus emerged as very useful reagents in synthetic organic chemistry. Their application in the search for alternative strategies and for the development of novel molecular structures is constantly growing. Organothiosilanes have been widely applied in the delivery of sulfur functionalities onto organic electrophiles, thus leading to access a variety of polyfunctionalized molecules. As a logic extension we have also been interested in the reactivity of silyl selenides, thus disclosing novel synthetic procedures to access different selenium containing compoundsI documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
