The aim of this work is to study ArcCHECK device performance when used for TomoTherapy pre-treatment dose distribution verification and to report the results of TomoTherapy plan verifications. When ArcCHECK is used for TomoTherapy pre-treatment verification, users are advised to select the “TomoTherapy mode” option which prevents the application of some corrections (namely field size and diode angular dependence). Doses measured by each diode could not be sufficiently accurate to permit absolute dose comparison; for this reason preliminarily tests aimed to assess the effectiveness of the corrections applied to each diode for dose determination (array calibration and dose calibration) were performed.
