Abstract

The accuracy of deformable image registration tool has an important impact on radiation treatment planning. In this study, we propose a quantitative validation of the intensity-based free-form deformable image registration algorithm (DIR) implemented in MIM. Deformable registrations between different CT studies of phantoms were performed in order to assess software capability in accounting for objects volume and shape variations.
